The rules for using this website.

What this website is and is not, how requests work, and the terms on which Safe Harbor Medical Transport makes this site available to you.

Draft for legal review. This page is a structural template prepared for the client and has not been reviewed by an attorney. Names, retention periods, jurisdictions, and regulatory references must be verified and adapted before publication. It does not constitute legal advice.

Agreeing to these terms

These terms govern your use of this website. By using the site or submitting a request through it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Separate written agreements govern the transport services themselves, including our service agreement, financial responsibility form, and consent documents. Where those documents and these terms differ, those documents control.

The site is not medical advice

Everything on this website is general information about the services Safe Harbor Medical Transport offers. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation, and it does not create a clinician–patient relationship.

Decisions about a patient's care should be made with their physician. Do not delay seeking professional advice because of something you read here.

Not an emergency service

This is not an emergency service. Safe Harbor Medical Transport provides non-emergency transportation only. Our vehicles do not carry paramedics, we do not monitor patients, and we do not administer medication or treatment during a trip.

If a patient is unstable, could deteriorate on the road, or needs clinical care en route, call 911 or a licensed ambulance provider. Nothing on this website should be read as an offer of emergency medical response.

Requests are not confirmations

Submitting the request form on this site does not confirm a trip. A request becomes a booking only when our scheduling team gives you back a pickup window and a unit assignment. Until you have that confirmation, no vehicle has been reserved for you.

Same-day and time-critical trips should be arranged by telephone rather than through the form. Availability is not guaranteed and is allocated in the order requests are confirmed.

Accurate information

You agree that the information you give us is accurate and that you are authorised to provide it, including where you are arranging on behalf of a family member or patient.

Details such as mobility level, equipment, weight, oxygen use, stairs, and access restrictions determine whether we can safely perform the service. If material details are inaccurate or withheld, our crew may have to decline at the door and a charge may still apply.

Fees, insurance, and billing

Prices are quoted before service begins. Coverage by Medicare, Medicaid, a managed-care plan, or a private insurer depends on your specific plan, eligibility, and the reason for the service, and is confirmed by our office rather than by this website.

Any coverage table or fee example shown on this site is a general guide, not a benefits determination or a quote. Where a payer declines, you remain responsible for the balance under the financial responsibility form you sign.

Changes, cancellations, and no-shows

Trips can be changed or cancelled by calling dispatch. There is no fee when you reach us at least two hours before the pickup window opens, and no fee at all when a facility cancels the appointment on you.

Where a crew arrives and the passenger is unavailable, unwilling, or unsafe to transport, a no-show charge may apply.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse this site. That includes submitting false requests, attempting to gain unauthorised access, scraping or harvesting content, interfering with the site's operation, or using it for anything unlawful.

We may refuse service, remove content, or restrict access where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.

Intellectual property

The Safe Harbor names, logos, and lighthouse marks, and the text, images, layout, and code of this site, belong to Safe Harbor Medical Transport or its licensors. You may view and print pages for your own use or to share with a family member, physician, or case manager.

You may not copy, republish, or adapt the site or its branding for commercial purposes without written permission. Typefaces and photography used on this site are licensed to us and are not sublicensed to you.

Links and our sister company

This site links to our sister company under common ownership, and may link to hospitals, payers, and public resources. Linking does not mean we endorse or control those sites, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices.

Disclaimers

The site is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every detail is current. Service areas, fleet composition, staffing, availability, and pricing change.

Statistics, service descriptions, and testimonials on this site are illustrative of our service generally and are not a promise of any particular outcome, response time, or availability in your case.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Virginia law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this website, including a missed appointment resulting from reliance on information published here rather than confirmed with our office.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any right you have under the separate service agreement governing the care or transport itself.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the courts of Virginia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
